Dates to Note

As mentioned in our last news item, the reconstruction of our single court is about to start.  Work will begin early on Wednesday 6th September and continue for the rest of the month, but our block of 3 courts will be unaffected throughout and available for play as usual.

Please do take care when arriving and leaving – there will obviously be machinery around at times and reduced space in the car park.

But carry on playing and enjoying the great game!   See you soon!

Thanks to everyone who’s taken part in this summer’s Club Championship and made it such an enjoyable event.  The Finals will take place on Saturday 23rd September starting at 12 noon.

Please come along and support the finalists and watch some great tennis. The bar will be open and there will be hot drinks and some ‘nibbles’ available.

The timings are as follows:
12 noon:

Men’s singles (Josh Ponting vs James Stoddart)
Mixed doubles (Neil Lovett/Alison Courtney vs Mike Allen/Tory Houghton)

Followed (after a short break) by:
Ladies’ doubles (Alison Courtney/Sarah Stoddart vs Jenny Collins/Georgie Ponting)
Senior Men’s singles (James Stoddart vs Neil Lovett)

(The Men’s doubles cannot be played on this day and will be rearranged.)
