Tennis News: What's On

3 October

TUESDAY CLUB AFTERNOONS (1.30 start) begin on Tuesday 10th October.

The Winter League season begins this weekend.  Good luck to all our teams!  To see all our fixtures, click HERE.

And WELL DONE to all our teams for a busier-than-ever Summer League season.  Especially to our Men’s A, who finished in second place in the top division, level on points with the winners; our Mixed B, who won their division by a clear five points; our Men’s C who finished joint second in a very tight division (four points separated the top five teams); our Mixed C who’ve won promotion in their very first season; and our Men’s Midweek League team who went unbeaten to win the competition in its inaugural year.

Talking of competitions, here’s a date for the diary: SUNDAY 5th NOVEMBER.  Come and join in our Halloween-themed tournament for parents and children in the morning (scarily called the Monster Smash by sponsors Benenden).  More details will be coming soon, but keep the morning free!

And another date for the diary is the Tennis Section AGM on WEDNESDAY 15th NOVEMBER, 8.00pm.  Please make a point of coming: it’s an important date in the Club’s year – a time to reflect on the past year and discuss the year to come, and it’s not at all boring and won’t last hours!  It’s for all of us – see you there!

It may seem absurdly early to mention Wimbledon, but you should already have received an email from the LTA asking you to OPT IN to the 2018 Wimbledon ballot.   Please do it asap – it takes 30 seconds – just log on to the LTA website  The more of us who opt in, the more tickets our Club is allocated.  Thanks.
